Students at Syndal South Primary School use a wide range of Learning Technologies such as computers, scanners, the internet, cameras and digital video cameras as tools for learning. They routinely use computers to access information, to work on research projects and develop higher order thinking concepts, as well as to present their work using multimedia and other software tools. Computer assisted learning and guided discovery allows students to assume greater responsibility for their learning.
Students in all grades from Prep – 6 receive specialist technology sessions.
During these sessions, students undertake projects including digital portfolios, creative publications, webpage development, animated images, video editing, digital documentaries and TV advertisements.
Software regularly used within the technology sessions includes Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Publisher, Clicker 5, Hyperstudio, Kid Pix Deluxe.
Our school:
