Friendology UR Strong Program

The UR Strong Friendology program helps students develop the skills and confidence to build and maintain healthy friendships. Through engaging lessons and age-appropriate activities, children learn that friendships can sometimes experience a Friendship Fire. These may be conflicts, misunderstandings, or challenges that can be worked through with the right tools. Students are taught practical strategies such as using Quick Comebacks to respond confidently to unkind words, and Talk-It-Out conversations to respectfully solve problems, repair friendships, and strengthen communication.

 

A key part of the program is learning the Four Friendship Facts, which help children understand that conflict is a normal part of relationships and that healthy friendships require kindness, respect, communication, and problem-solving. By developing a shared language around friendships, students become better equipped to manage social situations, support one another, and build positive, resilient relationships both at school and beyond. Parents are encouraged to use the Friendology language at home, helping children practise these valuable life skills in everyday situations.
